Surfing at Manly beach this Summer looks like a busy one.

It’s almost Summer and we are already seeing some warm weather that has had kids from all over sydney swarming to the beach. There is no better feeling than washing off the heat with a dip in the ocean BUT, we need to keep in mind that a great day at the beach comes with a little bit of understanding and maturity. ( that,s a big call coming from me i know)

Things to remeber:

Check with Life guards at the beach to find the safe swimming areas.

Don’t make a mess! ( that means take your trash with you…please)

If you need a lesson, get one..

and last of all have fun…

The best wax i have found and use every day is Sex wax! You can buy it at your local surf store and comes in a variety of colours. My preferred colour as you heard in my video is Orange. Check out sexwax at http://www.sexwax.com/

Look for this wax for a great allrounder..

I really think you should stay away from ultra sticky wax’s like Palmers. These waxes have a very short lifespan on your boards and don’t allow a solid base to be built when applying wax. They also get very dirty!

Is catching the Green waves out the back the hardest thing to master as a beginner? Sure it is! When you step up to the mark and head out to get a taste of an unbroken wave, there are some important things to keep in mind.

If you sit too far out to sea or too close to the shore you will not have any success! The surf break is a place to be proactive and to keep your wits about you. , Find a break that’s not crowded, Choose some markers that will keep you on the peak, Stop fighting with your surfboard and take your surfing skills to a new level! Become a better surfer!
